The American Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (AIPS) is a nonprofit organization, which started in 2007 with a focus on advancing health care solutions and improving medication safety and health outcomes. Through the organization's specialty program called "Prescription Support,'' AIPS allows patients that cannot afford the out-of-pocket cost of their life-sustaining medications or services. The organization has provided over $30 million in free medications in over five years. The nonprofit is supported by sponsors, donors and private contributions.
