AGIS, an employee benefits provider with a strong Florida presence, has
merged with Benefits Solutions Group (BSG) to better serve businesses
throughout the Tampa Bay area. The new office is located at 1304 S.
DeSoto Ave., Suite 101 in Tampa.
Both
companies provide insurance employee benefits plans to businesses
through a network of insurance carriers.
AGIS offers funding and analysis
services; employee communication, enrollment and renewal preparation;
and COBRA, claims and administration services.
"This
is a marriage of synergy and represents a shared commitment to
unparalleled customer service," says Andria Herr, national president of
AGIS. "As a result of this partnership, we become a stronger
organization, with even greater depth and broad expertise to serve
employers throughout the Tampa region."
According
to Debbie Hediger, vice president of AGIS Tampa, the merger provides
benefits of another kind to both companies. "The merger brings more than
60 years of combined employee benefits, HR and communications
expertise," she says.
Hediger explains that
the decision to merge with a Tampa-based company such as BSG arose from a
strong presence in the Jacksonville and Orlando areas.
She is confident that AGIS will thrive in
Tampa, adding
more jobs in coming years with a possible relocation to larger digs in
the Westshore area. "The business climate is one of the reasons AGIS was
attracted to the area," she says. "We look forward to growing with the
Bay area."

longtime Tampa area residents with strong ties in the community,"
shares Hediger. "We believe this is a wonderful place to live, work and
