The Luxury Box: New Tampa Restaurant Opens With Purpose

Tampa Bay youth are getting support from an unexpected source: a Channelside eatery.

Owners Stephen and Crystal Davis have opened The Luxury Box at 490 Channelside Drive, close to the St. Pete Times Forum. The couple hope their new restaurant will complement the work they've been doing through their nonprofit entity Davis Quad, which provides opportunities for disadvantaged youth.

"One of our biggest aspirations is to work with youth and we'd like to use this location to promote what we're doing with that," says Stephen Davis. "One of the things we plan to do is offer youth organizations who purchase from us a donation of 10 percent of their bill, which will go back to that organization. All we ask for is official documentation. We also plan on hosting car washes, sporting events, other charitable activities, perhaps partnering with other organizations."

"We really want to give organizations that wouldn't necessarily have the money opportunities to host youth events," says Crystal. "Sports, team building, academic achievement, college applications, part-time jobs. We want to help as many youth as we can."

The couple says they also wanted to help keep Tampa's Channelside district thriving. We were looking for a new adventure," says Crystal Davis. "We wanted entertainment, excitement. .We want to make people who come to the restaurant feel special. It's close to the Forum, so we want to make our customers feel like they're in a luxury box, which is how we came up with the name The Luxury Box."

The Luxury Box menu features sushi, hamburgers, desserts and fine foods.
