Tampa Bay residents looking for an adrenaline rush are in luck: The Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI) is opening the new Sky Trail Ropes Course.
Bringing a fresh experience to the science enter, MOSI will introduce its new ropes course to the public today, July 19, at 10 a.m. Unlike most ropes courses in Florida, MOSI's does not require a minimum number of people to participate on the course.
"Other Tampa Bay area locations only open their courses for large groups, but MOSI will be able to accommodate one guest all the way up to an entire group of people," says Adrienne Drew, MOSI's media relations specialist. "The Sky Trail Ropes Course is the first of its kind in the area, only requiring one clip in, so throughout the structure, no detaching is required."
Funded by donations from the Dobkin Family, as well as an anonymous resident, the MOSI Sky Trail Ropes Course is open weekday hours from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on the weekends from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m; the course will also be open during evening hours on Friday and Saturday until 8 p.m.
"We are looking forward to bringing a new experience to our center by adding the course which is meant for all ages," says Drew. "We feel the Tampa Bay area will truly enjoy this unique experience and encourage guests to conquer their fears and experience an adrenaline rush like no other."
According to Drew, the course is the first step in new attractions at MOSI and the museum plans to add to the outdoor play area in the future.
