Lakewood Ranch's Neal Communities Adds To Neighborhood

Lakewood Ranch's Neal Communities is at it again, adding homes to the Lake Park neighborhood in its Central Park community. The new homes will be built by Lee Wetherington Homes.

"I've known Lee for years," says Pat Neal, owner of Neal Communities. "I respect his craftsmanship. He brings his own distinct style that will complement what we have in Central Park.

Lake Park contains the largest lots in the community and Wetherington's first offering is a 2,945-square-foot home that features three bedrooms, a den, bonus room, retreat area, three-car garage and large covered outdoor living area. Lee Wetherington says there is still a portion of the market that wants a larger home.

"Our ability to customize and our attention to architectural detail are attractive to these buyers," Wetherington says.

Wetherington spokesman Peter Mason adds: "Most of our architectural elements are in the interior, columns, media walls and the like." Outside elements include pools and fire pits.

Central Park has enjoyed strong sales since it opened in July 2010. Sixteen homes sold in March 2011, with a total of 100 sales in the last eight months. The community's focal point is a park containing ball fields, tennis courts, a pavilion, splash fountain, playground, two dog parks and a butterfly garden.

The Lakewood Ranch development is a rapidly growing area of Sarasota, offering single-family homes, apartments and condos surrounding a Main Street retail district that features a movie theater, retail shops and restaurants.
