Tampa's Towers Of Channelside See Sales Increase

Since taking over sales for the Towers of Channelside in February 2010, JMC Realty's Steve McAuliffe and his team have sold an average of 10 homes a month. Of the 257 homes available in the 28-story downtown Tampa condo community, only about 30 remain empty.

To what does McAuliffe attribute such success in such a challenging market?

"It's a great product," says McAuliffe. "And I really credit the Realtors. They've helped us more than anyone else. Once they see the property, they are eager to bring their buyers in to see for themselves."

Towers of Channelside residences feature expansive balconies and panoramic views of the waterfront and downtown Tampa. Prices range from $178,000 for a one-bedroom, one-and-a-half bath design to $375,000 for a higher floor three-bedroom, three-bath home. Penthouses start under $500,000.

Amenities include a deck on the fifth level with clubhouse, swimming pools and entertainment areas. The deck, which sits above the four-level parking garage, connects the two towers. Most homes come with two parking spaces.

The towers are within walking distance of the Florida Aquarium, St. Pete Times Forum, Tampa Bay History Center, and other Channelside attractions,

McAuliffe explains that the pricing philosophy has been an attractive component in converting sales. "We don't negotiate," he says. "What we say is the price is the price. Current residents appreciate this, because the value on their home is solid."

McAuliffe also credits his team of title companies and banks for helping to fill the towers. "They've been just wonderful," says McAuliffe.
