Innovative Business Club Opens In Ybor City, Tampa

Entrepreneurs have a new hangout in the Ybor City neighborhood of Tampa.

New Urban Suites has added a business club to its property at 1228 E. 7th Ave. The innovative offering allows entrepreneurs to meet, work and network in a renovated space outfitted with all the amenities of a fully operational office: high-speed Internet; semi-private desks and open, shared workspace; HD television and cable with laptop hookups; computer terminals, videoconferencing, meeting rooms and a boardroom. A fully equipped kitchen is on the same floor.

"The new club empowers local business owners and entrepreneurs with the resources necessary to grow their business and maintain productivity," says owner Walt Chancey. "As many businesses are operating out of home offices, we are striving to meet their needs at an affordable price."

Suite Manager Angela Hagerman says the Ybor City club is the result of extensive investment  in and renovations to the existing property's third floor.

"New Urban Suites is a turnkey solution started in August of 2010. We were using two of the three floors of the building. When we decided to add a business club to the third one, we invested $95,000 renovations and marketing. Eckley Contracting Group did the construction, and Marco's Custom Furniture and Cabinetry built the tables that sit in our club area." Both Eckley and Marco's are located in the Tampa Bay region.

"The community aspect is key to developing businesses and building relationships," says Chancey. "We think this will truly help the business community in Tampa."
