The University of Tampa is adding a new position to aid
students in achieving success while attending the university.
The position's title? Director of Student Success.
The
position involves evaluating a student's success from meetings and
reports, and making sure everything is satisfactory with the Office of
Institutional Effectiveness.
The person hired will also be
responsible for collaborating with multiple departments within the
university to aid in individual student success, and will be responsible for
ensuring the success of all students on campus,
including incoming freshman, transfer, graduate and adult students.
Among the duties: keeping in regular contact with a student's parents from the start to the end of the student's
college experience.
Another responsibility will be to
hold a fall workshop, student services briefings and other events to better educate UT employees.
The applicant must have a master's degree in educational administration or a related field, and at least four
years experience in a college administration environment and be capable
of working with and communicating with students, parents and colleagues.
The successful applicant will also be expected to make himself or herself available for
students outside of normal business hours and be able to work occasional
evenings and weekends.
The applicant must also be familiar with
Word, Power Point, Excel and be able to learn the University's learning
management software.
UT is a private university in
