Adams Group Moves To North Port, To Add 90 Jobs

Adams Group, a manufacturer and installer of interior architectural casework, plans to hire 90 employees over the next five years following its recent relocation to a new 50,000-square-foot facility in North Port.

"We struggled to find good talent at our old location since we were a good way from Ft. Myers and Sarasota," says Ethan Adams, CEO of the Adams Group. "Our main draw to North Port was for a better pool of talent."

The new high-tech facility sits on six acres allowing for both growth and additional employees.

"Over the next five years, we will be hiring estimators, sales people, project managers, engineering staff, administrative support and miscellaneous manufacturing positions," says Adams. "If the right person walks through the door, we will hire them."

So who is the right person? "A team player, as culture is very important to us," says Adams. "It is important that employees work well together. Humbleness and trustworthiness are also characteristics we value."

Adams Group offers a full benefits package. "We offer 90 percent employer paid health insurance, vacation, paid holidays, and group vision and dental coverage," says Adams. "We have also been known to offer cash bonuses and profit sharing at the company's discretion."

The Adams Group's new facility is at 2221 Murphy Court in North Port.

The family-owned company, moved to Florida from Dayton, OH in 1984, originally setting up shop in Punta Gorda.
