BlueGrace Logistics Still Growing, Still Hiring

In January 2010, BlueGrace Logistics announced it would be adding 50 jobs as the company relocated to a larger facility in South Hillsborough County. The company has filled approximately 40 of those 50 jobs, and is now looking to fill dozens of additional positions.

"We feel that with our growth targets, we will definitely need more people," says Eric Chambers, VP of sales and marketing for BlueGrace Logistics.

The growing company, which was founded in October 2007, has grown from a dozen employees to 80-plus and more. "I attribute our growth to our people," says Chambers. "We are a high-performance company, but people enjoy their jobs. Our employee retention is excellent and turnover is low."

"There are many positions we need to fill," says Chambers. "Those positions include entry-level sales, account executives, a high-level executive assistant and people for our customer loyalty team."

Chambers says he anticipates little difficulty in finding qualified workers to fill the jobs. "There is a good source of talent in the Tampa Bay marketplace," he says.

Chambers also says the company plans to expand its physical space too.

"Less than two years ago, we moved from a 2,000-sqaure-foot office in Apollo Beach to a 12,000-square-foot building in Riverview," says Chambers. "Right now, we have blueprints to add another 10,000 square feet to our office in Riverview. That's how much growth we are experiencing."
