BlueGrace Logistics Creates First Freight iPhone App, Adds 50 Jobs

BlueGrace Logistics of southeastern Hillsborough County recently released the first mobile transportation management system for the popular iPhone.

"The BlueGrace iPhone app is really simplifying a lot of things for people by allowing them to be mobile and to find shipping methods," says President, CEO and Founder Bobby Harris,

The BlueGrace Mobile Freight Optimizer provides real-time shipment quotes. Users will be able to receive freight rates, carriers and transit times.

In addition to the launch of their new iPhone app, BlueGrace is expanding from a 2,000-square-foot office in Apollo Beach to a new headquarters in Riverview that is 12,000 square feet. The expansion will result in the creation of more than 50 job opportunities in the Tampa Bay market. Positions include inside and outside sales reps, customer service professionals, operations management, technology analysts and a controller.

BlueGrace Logistics, a logistic, freight and transportation management firm, currently employs 35 people and provides services in 35 locations throughout the country, with satellite offices in Salt Lake City and Chicago. Founded in 2007, the company has grown from $8 million to $37 million under Harris' leadership and through the use of technology.
