Growing Commercial Investment Company Adds Jobs In Tampa Bay

A Tampa commercial investment firm is investing in Florida. And it seems to be paying off.

Greg Williams created Cardinal Pointe Management in 2009 with brother and business partner Rufus Williams and says they are planning to provide property management jobs at a couple sites in Tampa. "We are currently repositioning several assets and as they become more stabilized, we will look to hire additional property management professionals," says Williams. "Additionally, as we acquire more assets, we will look to grow our overall platform. This will likely include adding more property accounting positions and an investment analyst."

Williams says that despite its challenges during the economic downturn, Florida is poised for growth. "We did a lot of research on different areas around the country and quickly came to the conclusion that Florida offered great investment opportunities," says Williams. "We believe Florida is poised for corporate growth given the relative low cost of doing business, the quality of life for employees and the availability of an educated workforce.  Although the recession has been incredibly difficult for the Florida economy for the last several years, we believe the current low cost of housing as a result of the downturn will be a significant driver of growth for many years to come."

Williams says these factors provide opportunities to acquire real estate assets in good locations below replacement cost. "Our growth has been attributed to our acquisitions over the last 18 months of well-located commercial assets throughout the Tampa Bay region that have typically been under-managed. We've invested a significant amount of capital into these properties in order to provide tenants with a great office environment and at an affordable rate."

Williams says he is looking for certain traits in candidates looking to join the Cardinal Pointe team. "An ideal candidate is somebody who is hardworking, trustworthy, entrepreneurial, team-oriented and possesses strong analytical skills."
