Dixie Southern, a customer steel fabrication company that specializes in pressure vessels, tanks, piping and ductwork, has moved its administrative headquarters across Manatee County from rural Duette to Bradenton.

Dixie Southern provides services, including design, engineering, raw material sourcing and fabrication, to industries such as water treatment, agriculture, chemical, food processing, oil and gas as well as other heavy industry projects. Growth experienced over the last few years prompted the expansion to Bradenton.

President and CEO Stan Kinnett says the original Duette location will remain open to house engineering and manufacturing operations, while the new headquarters at 9135 E. 58th Drive in Bradenton will hold the company’s corporate offices.

“The primary driver behind opening the new location was to improve customer service and productivity in some of our key administrative positions,” says Kinnett. “Our sales, estimating, finance, human resource and administrative team will be able to provide faster service and better accommodate customer requests from our new location.”

The company employs approximately 50 people.

“We will hire additional employees dependent upon business conditions,” Kinnett says. “Positions that we will hire for when conditions are right, include estimators, CAD operators, mechanical engineers and project managers.”
