Med Security Software Firm To Add 70 Jobs, St. Pete

FairWarning, a medical security software company in St. Pete, plans to hire 70 people at its corporate headquarters. The company invented and now provides "privacy breach detection" solutions for electronic health records (EHRs) to customers around the world. Due to growth and expansion in international markets, FairWarning is looking for talented individuals to add to its workforce.

"While FairWarning has experienced 100 percent growth over each of the last four years, we are experiencing a more rapid growth and expansion of our markets, including those that are international," says Shane Whitlatch, sr. VP global alliances and sales operations. "We have immediate openings for highly skills professionals in software development, marketing, professional service and support and sales."

Whitlatch goes on to say that while skills are important when looking at potential employees, values are very important as well.

"We have always had a consistent set of values, which are posted fairly prominently on our website," says Whitlatch. "In fact, this values document is one that is part of our employee handbook and is signed by every employee as they come on board."

According to Whitlatch, while the hiring has started immediately, not all 70 positions will be filled right away.

"We have a plan in place for hiring these 70 people in several phases beginning immediately and then spread over the next seven quarters," Whitlatch says. "Part of these phases includes obtaining additional office space and infrastructure to support this growth."

While FairWarning may look for additional office space, Whitlatch says all of the jobs will be in St. Petersburg.

"We are located in north St. Petersburg, which is convenient to other counties, including Hillsborough, Pasco and Manatee," Whitlatch says. "With the location near the major bridges and interstates, it can be a fairly easy commute from all directions."
