Temple Terrace To Build Bat Tower Near Fowler

Temple Terrace is on the verge of constructing a 40-foot bat tower located beside Fowler Avenue, near the Tampa Bypass Canal.

The project, a joint effort between the Temple Terrace Preservation Society and The City of Temple Terrace, hopes to attract upwards of 500,000 bats.

Bat roosts in Gainesville attract nearly 10,000 visitors a year, according to Fox 13 News.
