Tampa's Mitzi Gordon recently launched a "half used bookstore on wheels, half nonprofit cultural center" by the name of Bluebird Books.
Gordon also launched a
Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the mobile bookstore. Sales will support a pending nonprofit that will organize plays, book and poetry readings and bookmaking workshops.
Tampa is also home to
Bess The Book Bus, a mobile literacy outreach whose 2011 Success is in Sight tour will give away 100,000 books to families in 44 states.
