Cigar City Brewing was recently awarded Florida's only gold medal at the 30th annual Great American Beer Festival.
The Tampa-based brewer's Minaret ESB ranked first out of 43 entries in the Extra Special Bitter category.
526 breweries from 48 states and Puerto Rico submitted 3,930 beers for entry in this year's competition in Boulder, Colo.
