2010 Census: Florida Soars Past National Growth

The 2010 Census data revealed that Florida has seen an increase of 2.8 million new residents to the state over the last decade.

Hispanic population increased 57.5 percent, while African-American population increased 25 percent.

The 17.6 percent population growth marks the seventh straight decade of double-digit gains for the state, according to a recent article in The New York Times.
