New York-Based Biotech Co. Moves To St. Pete

Biotech company IRX Therapeutics, Inc., recently announced its plans to relocate from New York to St. Petersburg.

IRX develops therapies to treat cancer and infectious diseases, including IRX-2--an active immunotherapy that treats cancer by restoring the patient's immune system and enabling an immune attack on the tumor, according to USF News.

IRX and the Florida High Tech Corridor Council agreed to jointly fund $2.5 million in research at the University of South Florida.
