Nat Geo Builds Body Parts With Draper Labs

Dr. Jeff Borenstein, physicist, biomedical engineer and leader of the Tissue and Organ Constructs at Draper Laboratory, was recently featured in a television documentary.

The one-hour National Geographic Channel show, titled "Explorer: How to Build a Beating Heart," delves into the ongoing study of tissue engineering and organ growth.

Draper was featured for its development of a silicon wafer device that replicates human capillaries.

Repeats of the show will air Feb. 8 at 1 a.m., Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 14 at 6 p.m.
