Ringling Museum's Skyspace Opens To Rave Reviews

Creative Loafing's Art Critic Megan Voeller takes a look at the newest "Skyspace'' at the Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, as Artist James Turrell's meticulously designed and constructed observatories are called.

A $2.9 million project -- funded primarily by private donors and the culmination of 12 years of planning -- the Ringling Skyspace is the largest and one of only two on the U.S. East Coast. (MoMA P.S. 1 in New York has the other.)
