America's Super Pawn has added a third store in the Tampa Bay region to
encourage customers to "recycle your lifestyle." The new store is
located at 5137 14th St. W. in Bradenton. Owner Greg Twarowski credits
his success to his unique business model.
"My
goal has been to bring in a lot of people who would like to get rid of
unwanted items, but who would not typically come to a pawn shop,"
Twarowski says. "We want people to feel comfortable, so when you walk
into the store, it looks more like an upscale electronics or jewelry
shop except we offer great deals for bargain hunters, an easy way to
recycle surplus items and collateral loans for people who need them."
The new facility is 12,000 square feet with a
secured area for larger goods such as cars, motorcycles and construction
equipment. Warranties are available for certain items. Financial
services include check cashing, money wires, bill paying and pre-paid
credit cards.
According to America's Super Pawn
website, pawning
as a financing tool has been around for centuries. Remember, Queen
Isabella of Spain pawned her jewels to finance Christopher Columbus'
excursion to the new world.
America's Super
Pawn ensures protection against stolen goods through
leadsonline.com,
an Internet-based tool that links with police departments across the
country. All items obtained by America's Super Pawn are processed
through this system and held for 30 days to ensure they are legitimate
and have not been stolen.
Other America's Super
Pawn locations include 5612 15th St. E. in Bradenton and 1120 N.
Washington Blvd. in Sarasota. Twarowski says he plans to add more
locations in the future.
