The relief designs in the Moorish arches above Plant Hall’s entrance were the inspiration for the patterns circling the top and bottom of the four larger bells of the Ars Sonora structure.

Cast through the lost wax process, the frieze circling the top and bottom of the Sykes bell and UT bells is a pattern that echoes the relief designs in the arches found above the entrance to Plant Hall at the University of Tampa.
