Art Institute Grads Showcase Creative Talents

The Art Institute of Tampa, 4401 N. Himes, Suite 150, will host the second Creative Refreshment event on Thursday, Dec. 17, from noon to 4 p.m.

Creative Refreshment showcases talented students in advertising, graphic design, interactive, motion graphics, animation, interior design and game design.

The Creative Refreshment event provides an opportunity for employers to scout out new talent and see the latest work from emerging skilled professionals entering the workforce. Each student will have a table to display his or her work to potential employers and community members.

"There are 27 graduates who will be presenting in the Creative Refreshment design showcase and we've had some pretty substantial hires from the porfolio showcase," says Victoria Snabon, director of career services at the Institute. "It's a great jumping off point for the students to acquire full-time jobs or freelance opportunities. Plus they get to brush up on their interviewing and presentation skills, see what their peers are doing and what the competition is like so it's good for a lot of reasons."
