Smithsonian Eyes Bartow House For Inclusion In National Museum

A Bartow house was recently toured by representatives from the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

The Smithsonian Institution's black history museum is looking for homes around Florida to be included in the project.

The L.B Brown House, built in Polk County around 1892, was toured for its history and recognition as a Florida landmark.

The National Museum of African American History and Culture will open near the Washington Monument in 2015.
